3 things i want to blog today

firstly about kit's bday celebration on sat, so 巧！we wore the same dress with very different interpretations of how the dress should be worn, haha so funny, kit's the more 现代版, i'm the conservative one, buttoned up all the way to the top =)
usually for us women, seeing another gal wearing the same dress as you is a pretty embarrassing sight, that's why all of us do all very best to get the most unique dress for prom, even with the fave colour black, we must make sure our dress design is one of a kind.
but i didn't have that 'avoid people seeing us at all cost' feeling that day, maybe cos we intentionally bought the same dress. hmmm, i wonder if yvonne (a twin-look alike) & i wore the same clothes, we would wear the outfit the same way or will our picture be as different as the shot kit & me took?

secondly, about serving in NURSERY! EASTER SUNDAY, i made paper cross necklaces for my babies, took a pic of felicia wearing the cross (though not very visible).

Felicia's the well-known violent 1.5 year old with the immense strength to move chairs. i will always rmb her as my 2nd kid, the one i had to wash cos she poo-ed on her pants. serving as a core teacher in nursery has been an eye-opener for me, i learn new things like changing diapers & how to sooth a child. even now as i walk along the streets, i will naturally turn my head when i hear a toddler cries. everyone may feel that being rich is the most rewarding thing, yet i feel being a mother is a very noble thing. the tremendous amount of patience a mother gives to her child/children. after a mother taught me how to wash children, i told edwin (another nursery teacher) on the same day that i will never want to be a mother, & he jokingly replied me to look for a guy who is willing to change diapers & look after children. in my mind, i seriously doubt the possibility of finding a father/a guy who is willing to do these things & not get even more traumatised than me.

thirdly, i was reading an article a few days ago on the newspapers about youths & young adults setting up facebook communities to petition their parents off facebook & felt injustified for parents. everyone deserves a chance to use technology. in the age of technological advancements, we cannot expect only the young are able to utilise these tools online, n yet deprive the older people their opportunities. if these people are so ashamed of letting ur parents see ur clubbing pics & whatsoever stuff they want to hide from them, then i see no qualms blocking them from seeing ur albums, but don't deny them a chance from facebook. technology should not be age-bias & more so should society not be. reading the article, i found it amusing that a 25 yr old lady said she didn't want to let her parents see her 'havoc' self. she's 25 yrs old, she's no longer a kid. what is there to hide from your parents especially when she's a matured adult, unless she's living a double life at home or with her friends. if not, why is she afraid to show her parents who she really is with her friends.
