reflections...

after a whole sem of CIP, i felt the syllabus was appropriate.

the workshops on MS Word, Powerpoint, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash were very interesting and useful. at first i thought i knew almost everything about MS office, yet this module has taught me yet more advanced features in MS Office (like inserting table of contents & index page).
it was good experience using macromedia dreamweaver & flash, it's hardwork coming up with the outcome, and the process of getting the outcome was tiring, but i liked my final outcome =D. it gave me more exposure to develop my IT hands-on skills, instead of following exactly what the lecturer does in class n coming up with the exact same outcome as the lecturer, the macromedia assignment taught me how to be more creative in doing up my own website.

the 2 PBL problems were very authetic (can really tell the teachers did extensive research to come up with such real-life problems). PBL helped me to get to know my groupmates and their working styles better. it also taught me to be more independent in my learning, like if i didn't understand this IT concept, i will need to read up the textbook again or research on the internet to get a better understanding.

my tutor was helpful in clarifying my group's doubts in PBL or during workshops, when i did not understand what the instructions meant. =D

there's one thing i still don't quite understand why CIP is an examinable module, my group put in a lot of effort and time on our PBL problems, and our total effort only = 20% of the module marks...i feel that more weightage should be given to PBL problems.
